(Reviewing from part 1)

(Highlighted text added)

God is calling His people to condition their life. God is calling His people to maintain their condition.

He is calling His people to be ready to carry out their God-given function.

I mention at least three ways to maintain our structure/arrangement and our condition.

    (1) Faith

    (2) Bible

    (3) Exercising our delegated authority

One thing that will cause us to be defeated is a lack of knowledge.

In this teaching, I am talking about a lack of knowledge involving our delegated authority. Watch the video below.

I also mentioned four ways to know this subject of delegated authority.

    (1) Prayer (Normal language) (Communication)

    (2) Prayer (Heavenly prayer language/tongues) (Communication)

    (3) Study (Manual)

    (4) Accurate teachings (Our choice)

    We have delegated authority.

With our God-given authority, we are to copy what Jesus did.

    John 14:12-14
I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father.  Amp.

We then moved forward to Matthew 16:21-23.  (More on this later)

Keep in mind that we are to do the works of Jesus.

    John 14:12-14
"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I go to the Father. Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son; if you ask anything in my name, I will do it.” RSV

Part of the works of Jesus is exercising authority over the kingdom of darkness.

When Jesus used His authority against Satan, who was He dealing with when He spoke?

It is the same enemy we deal with every day. (Most likely demons)

More on this later but first a fresh testimony that happened this week.

    Store situation

Standing in line to buy a product.

Lady was yelling at the employee-not happy. (Approximately five minutes of yelling)

    Took authority over the situation.

Approximately five minutes she is all happy like nothing happened.

    I did what Jesus did.

I exercised my delegated authority in the spirit realm.

I exercised a portion of the inheritance.

    Let me briefly expound.

An inheritance is a gift an individual receives under a will.

A will is a legal document that disposes (to put in place) of a person's estate upon a person's death.

    Estate means: Possessions, property

Jesus died, the "will" was activated, and the "inheritance" (Belongings) is transferred to a person who accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

    Hebrews 1:1-2
“In many and various ways God spoke of old to our fathers by the prophets; but in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.” RSV

    Galatians 4:7
“And since we are his sons, everything he has belongs to us, for that is the way God planned.”
    TLB

    Romans 8:17
“and if children, then heirs — heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.” NKJV

The name of Jesus is something we have. (Inheritance)

The Holy Spirit is the guarantee of our inheritance.

    Ephesians 1:13-14
In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise
14  who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.
     (NKJV)

    Acts 3:6
“But Peter said, "I have no silver and gold, but I give you what I have; in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk." RSV

The delegated authority has been given to His children. (Inheritance)

    Luke 10:19
“Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you.” AMP

    Colossians 1:12-14
“giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” RSV

This is what I did when I was waiting in line out of season.  (Was not expecting this)

    2 Timothy 4:2
“preach the word, be urgent in season and out of season” RSV

I was living out Acts 10:38.

    Acts 10:38
how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing (#2390) all who were oppressed (#2616) by the devil, for God was with Him.” NKJV

Greek definition for the word "Healing": NT: 2390 'to heal, to cause something to change to an earlier, correct, or appropriate state - 'to renew, to heal.' to cause a change to a previous, preferable state - 'to renew, to restore, to bring back.' (from Greek-English Lexicon Based on Semantic Domain)

Greek definition for "that were oppressed": NT: 2616: to exercise harsh control over one, to use one's power against one: (from Thayer's Greek Lexicon)

This woman was out of the cage.

    She would not stop.

The situation had to be resolved.

    The employee was being crushed.

    I was there.

    The God-head was there.

The name of Jesus was there.

The authority of the believer was there.

Therefore, I did what I was born to do.

Reflect the totality of all that God is.

    John 14:30
“I will not talk with you much more, for the prince (evil genius, ruler) of the world is coming. And he has no claim on Me. [He has nothing in common with Me; there is nothing in Me that belongs to him, and he has no power over Me.]” AMP

    Colossians 2:15
[God] disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the cross].” AMP

Let us look at our Master (Jesus Christ our Lord) as He demonstrates authority over Satan.

    Matthew 16:21-23
“From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day. Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, "Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!" But He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense (#4625) to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men." NKJV

Now back to what I said.

When Jesus used His authority against Satan, who was He dealing with when we spoke?

    Part 1 ended here

    The Believer and Delegated Authority

    Part 2

He was dealing with a spirit being that He could not see.

    Same for the believer.

We cannot see Satan or his demons.

One of Satan's job description is to be an offense to us as he was to Jesus. (Matthew 16:21-23)

The demons in the kingdom of darkness have the same type of job description as their master or leader. (Satan)

What does "offense" mean in Mathew 16:23.

Greek definition for the word "offense": NT 4625: The trigger of a trap on which the bait is placed, and which, when touched by the animal, springs and causes it to close causing entrapment. (from The Complete Word Study Dictionary: New)

NT: 4625: (figuratively, cause of displeasure or sin): (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary)

NT: 4625: that which causes offense and thus arouses opposition (from Greek-English Lexicon Based on Semantic Domain)

    My insights:

    Places traps (Within life situations)

    Uses bait (Variety of temptations)

Causes entrapment to neutralize the believer

Causes the believer to sin and experience displeasure

    Causes offense or wrongdoing

    Causes opposition or disagreement

    Ephesians 6:12
“For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.” AMP

    1 Peter 5:8-9 (AMP)
8 Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.

9 Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset—rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined], knowing that the same (identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world.

This is who we are dealing with and I just gave all us his job description. (Some)

Satan has designs, wiles, tricks, intentions, and devices to use against the believer.

However, we should not be ignorant of these things.

Acts 10:38 (Personalized in the first person)
how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing#2390 all who were oppressed#2616 by the devil, for God was with Him.” NKJV
