God’s Love Letter to Mankind!
This prayer focus is directed toward those in Christ Jesus.
I heard it said years ago that the Bible was God’s Love letter to mankind. As we read John 3:16 we can understand God’s love.
Observations:
Usually, when one person loves another they pay attention to each other. They desire to be with each other, learn about each other, and share with each other. There is unity! Click here about unity.
For whatever reason, people have a difficult time reading the Bible on a regular basis. (Not much attention) People will pay attention to prayer but have a hard time reading the Bible regularly.
Simple advice:
Pray and ask the Heavenly Father, in Jesus' name, to help us read the Bible with some consistency.
Jeremiah 32:27 (AMP)
"Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is there anything too hard for Me?"
Personal testimony:
When I was heading toward salvation I asked my wife if we had a Bible, she said yes! When I opened it, I explained to her that she would have to read it for me because it looked so hard.
When I was growing up as a sinner I did not read much and my English skills were very deficient.
However, as I trusted Jesus to help me I was able to read the Bible, not perfectly but I decided to make myself available with a willingness to learn. (Willing and obedient Isaiah 1:19)
Over time I learned that for my prayers (petitions) to be answered I had to ask according to His will. In other words, they (petitions) had to line up with God’s Word or will. (1 John 5:14-15)
I also learned that God watches over His Word to perform it, not my options. (Jeremiah 1:12)
Furthermore, I learned how important it was to read His manual on how to live and treat others with the same love He demonstrated to me. (Love letter and Manual)
Main spiritual food source:
I believe that the Bible is our main spiritual food source.
No spiritual food = no nourishment = spiritual weakness = vulnerable or open to attack or damage. (Reverse this and see what we have!)
Bottom-line, prayer and reading the Bible go together and of course application. (James 1:22)

(1) Pray for the desire and power to read the Bible with consistency.
(2) Practice adjusting priorities.
(3) Read short portions at a time from the Bible.
