Identity in Christ is the real thing!
Hello, all Royal Prayer Guards and all those who join us!!
Thank you always for your loyalty and determination to pray. This is a very important focus for all those in Christ Jesus, especially for the younger people.
Different identities in the world
With all the different identities in the world, especially through technology, movies…superheroes and so on, believers in Christ need to understand who they are in Christ Jesus. Otherwise, they will be confused and deceived.
How we see ourselves
How we see ourselves has a dramatic effect on how we interact with the world around us. How we see ourselves has an even more dramatic effect on how we interact with the God who made us. By understanding who we are in God’s eyes, we can come to an understanding of how to live our lives to His glory.
If we do not understand who we are in Christ, we will be inclined to allow the world to define us. Everything around us would have us believe we are nothing, but miserable failures and, shame ridden souls unworthy of love.
Teaching people who they are in Christ will diminish
the sin factor. In other words, manifest the desire not to sin.
We have value
God sees us in a different light, His light that shines on us from a cross on Calvary. We have value because the blood that paid for our sins was and is valuable. An old song states “if value, is made by the price that is paid, then His blood made a treasure of me”.
Suggestions for prayer:
1. Make the decision to discover in the Bible who we are.
2. Visualize us as God says we are.
3. Once we know our identity in Christ, speak it out loud in faith.
4. Let others know who we are in Christ.
