Social Prayer Focus #10
Hello all Royal Prayer Guards, and those who join us! Once again thank you for your commitment to prayer on behalf of the kingdom of God.
This prayer focus is directed towards those mentally ill.
As I was reading the Bible I came across some very powerful passages. These revealed to me what should be happening in the body of Christ today.
(1) In Acts 5:12-16 we see the apostles and Peter in action. (Incredible!!!)
(2) In Acts 9:32-43 we see Peter again in action. (Incredible!!!)
(3) The early church provides us with hope, of what can happen today.
Synopsis Suggestions to use in our prayers for those mentally ill:
(1) Provide them with real hope-Jesus Christ. Focus on our real Hope!
(2) Provide ways to hear the Word of God.
- Hearing the Word allows life to enter their life (John 6:63)
(3) Provide ways for Godly music to enter their lives.
- The entrance of God’s Word gives light. (Psalms 119:130)
(4) That they are not neglected. (The character quality of attentiveness needed)
- Being attentive demonstrates their worth.
(5) For family members to understand that medicine has its place likewise with doctors but to realize that Jesus is The Doctor and His Word is The Medicine.
- “For I am the Lord who heals you.” Exodus 15:26
(6) For people with the gift of mercy to enter their life.
A simple form to use in our prayers for those mentally ill:
(1) Real Hope of Jesus Christ
(2) Hear the Word rightly divided
(3) Hear Godly music
(4) Neglect reduced and Attentiveness manifested
(5) Understanding about The Doctor and The Medicine
(6) Mercy for people to come forth in Jesus' name!
