This prayer focus is directed toward those in Christ Jesus.
We as believers in Christ Jesus need doors to open so we can proclaim, declare God’s Word! (Gospel)
These open doors come through prayer as seen in the following portions in God’s Word.
(Highlighted text added on all verses)
Colossians 4:2-4 (AMP)
“Be earnest and unwearied and steadfast in your prayer [life], being [both] alert and intent in [your praying] with thanksgiving. 3 And at the same time pray for us also, that God may open a door to us for the Word (the Gospel), to proclaim the mystery concerning Christ (the Messiah) on account of which I am in prison; 4 That I may proclaim it fully and make it clear [speak boldly and unfold that mystery], as is my duty.”
Colossians 4:2-4 Commentary
Our God-given goal and responsibility are to proclaim the gospel fully and make it clear as day.
Of course, when the door is open there is always some type of opposition or adversaries.
1 Corinthians 16:9 (AMP)
“For a wide door of opportunity for effectual [service] has opened to me [there, a great and promising one], and [there are] many adversaries.”
1 Corinthians 16:9 Commentary
