Social Prayer Focus #9 Fire Follow-up California Fires
Fire-Followup for California Fires
By faith, effective prayer every year!
Hello all Royal Prayer Guards and thank you for your commitment and determination to pray.
This prayer focus is a follow-up for the people affected by the fires in California. One of our goals is thoroughness in prayer. Therefore we will return to this area and pray for those attempting to get their life back together. They still need prayer.
Acts 15:36
"And after some days Paul said to Barnabas, "Come, let us return and visit the brethren in every city where we proclaimed the word of the Lord, and see how they are." RSV
Here are some recommended things we can pray on their behalf.
(1) To know Jesus as their Lord and Savior
(2) See things from God’s perspective
(3) Wisdom to build
(4) God’s timing
(5) To understand priorities
(6) Live one day at a time
(7) Orderliness in putting things back together
(8) Hope for the future
(9) Peace of mind
(10) Emotional stability
(11) Financial support
(12) Thankfulness
Two character qualities needed for this prayer focus.
(1) Thoroughness vs. Incompleteness
“Knowing what factors will diminish the effectiveness of my work or words if neglected.” *(IBLP)
(Read Matthew 14:13-21 and notice verse 20)
(2) Determination vs. Faintheartedness
“Purposing to accomplish God's goals in God's time - regardless of the opposition.” *(IBLP)
(Recognize Paul’s determination in Acts 21:8-14)
Thank you,
Pastor Vince Marino
